This summer, give your soul the gift of time, the solace of silence and lasting connection of spiritual friends. Through art and creativity, nature-based experiences, prayer, hospitality, play, you will explore and reimagine your work and life in the world, both solo and with other retreatants. Based upon the 2018 book by Rev. Anita Amstutz, Soul Tending: Journey into the Heart of Sabbath (Skylight Paths Publishing, Barnes & Noble/Indy/Amazon) you will be guided into a Sabbath rhythm. In Anita’s words, “In that dry, droughty space between joyful living and the soul sickness of too much work, I learned to recover Sabbath Mind over and over as a place of healing, whole hearted living and shalom.” Soul Tenders will be based at retreat house Casa del Sol which inspires the imagination and calls forth a deep solace just by the sheer magnificence of the soaring painted cliffs and intimate riparian canyons around it. You will find yourself revived and restored in community with human and non-human alike.
