GEORGIA O'KEEFFE'S LANDSCAPE

Georgia O’Keeffe lived and painted at Ghost Ranch. She first came to Ghost Ranch in 1934 and stayed one month as a guest at the O’Keeffe Cottage just down the path to Ghost House. In 1936 she rented a studio space in the Rancho de los Burros house.  Her husband, Alfred Stieglitz did not live here. Instead he lived in New York City and she traveled back and forth until he died in 1946.

Ms. O’Keeffe did not own Ghost Ranch, but she eventually purchased her home,  Rancho de los Burro, from Arthur Pack in 1940.  Her home is now privately owned by the O’Keeffe Foundation and is not accessible to the public.  The road to her home is also restricted. Commercial photography and filming of and at her home at Ghost Ranch is prohibited.

Ghost Ranch offers a variety of tours in the O’Keeffe landscape.  Please note that commercial  photography is not permitted on the tours.  Please click HERE to book a tour.

The O’Keeffe landscape is available for commercial and educational projects – restrictions apply.

Your project may require additional permission from the O’Keeffe Foundation.  If you are interested in shooting in this location at Ghost Ranch, please contact: David or Andie Manzanares, 505.470.2495, 505-490-0391, production@ghostranch.org
