Cultural Honoring Day – Free and Open to the Public

ACTIVITIES ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Lunch fees: $12 for adults; $6 for children ages 4-12

Come and join Ghost Ranch Jan Term students this Saturday, January 11th for a day of cultural honoring and celebration. We will learn about and practice making regional food favorites in the traditional ways while listening to local musical artist Cipriano Vigil. Lunch is provided. Following lunch, watch the Lightning Boy Hoop Dancers perform. We hope to see you there!

  • 9:00 AM – Horno bread baking
  • 9:00 AM – Bischochito making
    Dining Hall
  • 11:30 AM – Magic Place
    Dining Hall
    Artisans will set up tables with jewelry, photography and pottery for sale
  • 12:00 PM – Live Music
    Cipriano Vigil
  • 12:00 – 1:00 PM – Lunch
    including traditional foods from the Native American and Spanish cultures
  • 1:30 PM – Lower Pavilion – Hoop Dance performance
    Nakotah LeRance – World-Class Dancer
  • 2:30 PM – End of Cultural Honoring Day
