Slow Stitch: Textile Collage with Robin Pryzbysz – G26090405
Textile collage uses layered fabrics and mixed materials to symbolize themes of memory, identity, and social commentary, often embracing imperfections to highlight the value of personal narratives or reclaimed materials. Techniques like stitching and patchwork convey themes of healing, cultural history, and resistance, with artists transforming discarded fragments into new, meaningful compositions. Common techniques often focus on themes of home, family, or social justice.
