Collage Intensive w/Gelli-Plate Printing with Carla Aurich – G26080105
This workshop will cover the basics of collage using a variety of techniques and materials. We will start by making papers, painting, drawing and using gelli plates to make prints. Eventually moving on to deconstruction and assemblage. Interacting with the landscape at Ghost Ranch for inspiration along with looking and discussing contemporary collage/mixed media artists.

Carla AurichCarla Aurich is an artist and educator currently residing in the Hudson Valley after many years in Manhattan. She received an MA and MFA from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, with a focus on painting and printmaking she has taught in NYC for over 25 years at the 92NY, Yeshiva University and the SUNY school system and led art workshops in Italy and the Catskills in NY state.
Her work is exhibited nationally and internationally, included in private and corporate collections. She is a recipient of a NYA 9/11 grant, Pelzer-Lynch fellowship, a Soaring Gardens Residency and recently a Estudio Corazon Residency at Ghost Ranch New Mexico.
