Embodying Self, Reclaiming Sacred Feminine with Debra Alvis – G26040304
Join Debra in the wild desert beauty of the Southwest, a landscape renowned for inspiring creativity and personal transformation. This is the very region where Georgia O’Keefe cultivated her artistic self-expression, drawing inspiration from the vivid colors and expansive vistas.
Embodying the Self is a lifelong journey that can unfold through every stage of a woman’s life. This process of embodiment is essential in shaping a woman’s sense of self, influencing her physical and mental health, and contributing to her overall well-being.
Embodiment allows for a deep exploration of one’s internal parts, providing a powerful opportunity to reclaim aspects of ourselves that may have been set aside in conforming to cultural expectations. Developing an awareness of, and engaging in communication with, one’s internal parts leads to significant benefits. These benefits include improved emotional regulation, enhanced interpersonal relationships, and the cultivation of a stronger, more resilient self-identity.
This program offers practical methods to reconnect with your vitality and maintain an authentic connection to your true self. Participants will engage in a guided exploration of the embodied self, using practical internal parts work as a pathway to foster deeper self-connection. The program is experiential and engaging, featuring a variety of activities that reinforce inner leadership:
• Guided Meditation and Mindfulness: Facilitates mindful awareness and presence.
• Gentle Chair Yoga Practice: Designed to be suitable for every body.
• Mandala Creation: A tool for inner exploration and understanding of the Self and internal parts.
Alongside hands-on activities, the workshop integrates group discussions, brief lectures, and video presentations. These components help to anchor the practices in contemporary research and theoretical frameworks, ensuring a well-rounded and evidence-based experience.
Twenty-four Continuing education credits for licensed mental health therapists are pending approval. Please note that obtaining continuing education credits will require payment of an additional fee of $25.00.
