This workshop is ideal for the experienced painter, or the journaling poet.
Participants can expect to enjoy the plein air experience in the stunning location of Ghost Ranch with the benefit of instruction and life models. Designed as a full week plein-air painting workshop Andrea Vargas provides all the elements for the painter to respond to both the land and the figure. This workshop welcomes all levels, and will demo with both watercolors and oils. Each day will include a plein air-painting excursion with mid-day critique.

Andrea Isabel Nahuali Vargas is a fine artist who rejoices in her reclamation and relationship with mother earth. Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico Andrea has spent ten consecutive summers plein air painting in the Abiquiu region from Ghost Ranch to the Chama River of New Mexico. Her museum and gallery exhibition history has centered on paintings and art instillations that highlight reverence – for the land, the elements and the interconnections of life. She is represented by King Galleries in Santa Fe, and Scottsdale California.
Museums of note include, The C.M. Russell in Montana, The Santa Paula Art Museum in California, and The Oakland Museum and the Art and History Museum of Ventura.
