Watercolor I
Led by Patsy Welch
This is a fun introduction to painting with watercolors that will start at the very beginning. There is no need to have any prior art experience whatsoever. We will learn various ways to create the many textures we see at Ghost Ranch, working on dry paper as well as wet paper. Exploring different types of washes, we will discover how to capture the endless skies here. We will work on basic color theory and how to mix the stunning colors we see in the mountains surrounding us. We will also study composition and the components of the land – the many colorful rock formations and exotic plant life.
