Art of Making Children’s Books – G2007111

Workshop ID: G2007111
Dates: July 5, 2020 - July 11, 2020
Price: $775.00 - $1,540.00

Do you have a children’s book idea floating around in your head that you’ve never quite gotten down on paper? This is the class for you. We’ll talk about that seed of an idea and with the help of the class, we’ll grow it into a full-fledged 32-page picture book. Perhaps you’ve dabbled in art and want to try to illustrate it yourself but are unsure of your artistic abilities, we can help you develop a visual voice. Or maybe you really just want to get the words down and have someone else illustrate it one day. Either way, by the end of the session, you should be well on your way to having a storyboard of your book and a plan of action for how to make it into the book you’ve been dreaming about. Co-instructed by a painter and an author, this class will cover the basics of children’s book making and will include time in the studio with qualified and enthusiastic instructors that have your back if you want to experiment. This is going to be a blast! Let’s make stories together!!
