Movement & Memoir with Beth Kelley & Susan Dwyer – G26030505
Memoir work is not limited to writing about the greatest challenges we have faced. It also allows us to explore everyday slivers of life and moments of joy, and to identify the transformative effects of our lived experiences. Most of all, it provides an avenue for us to uncover meaning in our lives. Whether you arrive with a project in progress, are just getting started, or are simply curious about the form – we will meet you where you are.
Over five days in the wonder of it all at Ghost Ranch, we’ll explore a variety of accessible activities designed to stimulate creativity and writerly self-confidence. Daily craft sessions will cover topics including voice, dialogue, memory, truth, and some of the ethical issues that arise in memoir writing.
This workshop is intentionally spacious. There will be no rush to produce polished work, simply an invitation to show up, move, write, and notice what shifts.
