Living with Hearing Loss Workshop with Dean Olson- G26030407

Date

Mar 27 – 29 2026

Come partake in a one-day class that covers the topics related to losing partial hearing or a significant portion of hearing.  In the morning session, we will cover problems with the loss of hearing.  In the afternoon session, we will brainstorm how to develop strategies and discuss coping strategies and alternatives.  We cover several hearing loss topics.  The goal is to raise awareness for people experiencing hearing loss, their friends, family, relatives and interested folks.  Additionally, the workshop will help people develop or review hearing loss strategies to improve relationships, communication, customer service and events management.  The class will help professionals, interested people and community leaders who want to learn more.  We cover recommendations for hard of hearing people to work with their hearing loss, hearing people who want to improve communications with people who have hearing challenges and improve or develop hard of hearing coping strategies.  In short, as the workshop ends, we hope to increase awareness, empathy, understanding and skills.
