Mindfulness and the Meaning Crisis with Shannon Smith and Lani Potts – G25110301

Nov 20 – 23 2025

Ten years ago, the “Mindfulness Revolution” was on the cover of Time Magazine; it has exploded into our culture providing many people with relief from the stress and uncertainty of modern life. We feel more distracted, disconnected, and isolated than ever; the psychological and emotional consequences are overwhelming and without meaningful solutions. Turning to contemplative practices has become a necessity for many people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Using an interactive structure of partial silence, this retreat offers a deep dive into our universal emotions. Together, we will explore pathways to flourishing, well-being, and emotional resilience, as we utilize blending tools from contemplative wisdom traditions rooted in heart-centered meditation practices and evidence-based emotion skills training. Held within a container of kind awareness, we will examine enjoyable, and regrettable, emotional experiences and explore pathways to flourishing well-being and emotional resilience.

This interactive retreat will blend tools from contemplative wisdom traditions and evidence-based emotion skills training to develop unshakable inner resources for well-being, health, and happiness.
