Fall in northern New Mexico is a spectacular time of year, when the cottonwoods and aspens light up the riverbanks and hills. Give yourself a treat this week and join artist/illustrator Helen Byers to refine your realistic drawing skills with a focus on autumn leaves! Helen’s in-depth demonstrations and personalized instruction will guide you in looking closely and rendering what you see. We will practice detailed graphite and colored pencil with watercolor techniques to achieve accurate proportions, tones, colors, and textures. An inspiring array of specimens will be provided (and you may bring or find your own). This is an intermediate level course (some drawing experience required).
