TruGreen Clay with Barbara Campbell – G25070211
In this workshop we will be working with an alternative to paper clay. It is a clay with Rayon or nylon fiber and is very strong without firing. Since we are aiming at a low carbon footprint, we will not be firing the clay, but using acrylics to “cold finish” the pieces.
This gives participants an opportunity to see what working with clay is like without all the expensive equipment. This clay can be used at the kitchen table or in any workshop with minimum tools and virtually no equipment. Our goal here is to utilize the week in creation and less time on the surface finish. Without the firings, it gives us an extra day and a half to create our works of art. This is a relatively new technique that gives participants the ability to learn how to get creative with clay anywhere anytime. Our finished work will involve some new sophisticated acrylic applications that give wonderful and unexpected results.
