Text from timed writing mixes into the artist book in the spirit of Zen First Thoughts, Beginner’s Mind and Diane Ackerman’s Deep Play. Join our refreshing approach to the literary and visual arts for all levels. What are your current obsessions and themes? Let them fuel your art, and let it inspire one another in journal, scrapbook, poetry. Even if we’ve worked together, the new moment and other students bing a reliable freshness, and fun, and laughter to our work.
Bring a few family photos, copy them in B & W, if you have a favorite poet, pen, or quotations tuck them in. Natalie Goldberg’s “Writing Down the Bones”and her new book, “Writing on Empty” would be good, A shawl for chilly nights, a favorite tea cup, and I will supply most materials, inspiring books.
