Good teachers ask questions of their students. Great teachers know what the most important questions are. In the sixteen chapters of Mark’s Gospel, Jesus asks 63 questions. In four days we’re going to journal our way straight through Mark’s Gospel, engaging Jesus at every turn.
Dr. Jim Miller, longtime Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, leads the journey and offers this prediction: “Journaling the Bible is a spiritual discipline you’ll want to continue.”
This is part of the Oklahoma Family Camp Reunion —but you certainly don’t need to be from Oklahoma to take part! Come and share a lively three hour session each morning, exploring the questions Jesus asks —followed by free afternoons for trail hikes, horse-rides, and plenty of rich conversations.

Dr. Jim MillerDr. Jim Miller served as the Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa for thirty-one years, retiring last October. For many years he led a class here at Ghost Ranch that became known as the Oklahoma Family Camp, but many, living far beyond Oklahoma, joined us each summer.
Jim earned his Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from the University of Edinburgh; his dissertation on the Pastoral Letters was published by Cambridge University Press. For four years early in his career, he taught in the Greek Department at Wheaton College, and is currently serving as an adjunct New Testament professor at the Dubuque Theological Seminary in Iowa.
He is passionate about engaging folks from all backgrounds on questions of faith and life, drawing upon his experiences as both a pastor and a teacher.
