Community Camp
At Ghost Ranch’s Community Camp, each day is filled with possibility—a place where curiosity leads the way and adventure unfolds from morning to afternoon. Rio Arriba County campers, ages 5–17, spend their days exploring the beauty and wonder of Ghost Ranch, guided by our caring and experienced Summer Staff, before returning home with stories to share and excitement for the next day.
Activities are thoughtfully designed by age group, ensuring every camper feels engaged, challenged, and connected—to themselves, each other, our staff, and the land. Whether it’s a camper’s first or fifth time, each day offers a blend of beloved favorites and new experiences to spark curiosity and joy.
Campers gather each morning at 8:30am and spend the day immersed in hands-on adventures such as cooling off in waterfront activities, exploring geology, paleontology, and desert ecology, participating in team-building games and outdoor challenges, and creating landscape-inspired art. Camp ends at 3:30pm each day.
This is more than just a day camp—it’s a place where laughter carries on the desert breeze, friendships grow, and each day brings something new to discover.
