WELCOME to a piece of Heaven…
Talking about Ghost Ranch, Georgia O’Keeffe said “It is not a country of light on things, it is a country of things in light.” It is my privilege to invite you see “things in light.” It is quite surreal to step into such a majestic, beautiful, and wise space. Our spirits and souls need moments like this in these times.
Whether it’s your first time or 20th visiting the ranch, something new awaits you. We have set a banquet of workshops and retreats, some virtual, – there is something for all interests and ages – we trust there is one with your name on it!

“You Find Peace here”
Ghost Ranch is an unbelievable place. I consider the people who touched my life here a part of my extended family.
It is a beautiful, serene place. God’s hand of creation is all over the mountains’ cracks and crevices here. As you walk around you can feel his presence. He talks to you everywhere you look. You find peace here.

About the ranch
Our Mission at Ghost Ranch Education & Retreat Center is to foster well-being and spiritual health through this historic, inspiring southwest landscape.
Owned by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), with a history as colorful as the surrounding red and yellow cliffs, Ghost Ranch offers a diversity of programs and adventure.
The landscape of Ghost Ranch – made famous by painter Georgia O’Keeffe – encompasses 21,000 acres of towering rock walls, vivid colors and vast skies.
People from all over the world come to work together in creation care, to paint, to write poetry, to hike, ride horseback, to research globally renowned archaeological and fossil quarries or simply to rest and renew their spirits.

“I See Differently Now”
For years I’ve heard about Ghost Ranch, now I know. The view from Kitchen Mesa, time with the likes of J. Philip Newell, rafting on the Chama, and a chance to sleep beneath the desert stars, all helped to thin the veil for me. I see differently now and am both less and more as a result.
