Walk in Georgia O’Keeffe’s Footsteps
This walking tour takes guests to the restricted area of Ghost Ranch where Georgia O’Keeffe lived, painted and found inspiration. Walk through what O’Keeffe called “her red hills” – the Chinle formation. Your guide will demonstrate O’Keeffe’s painting sites by comparing prints of her paintings to the landforms before you. Geology of the area is discussed as are the High Desert (Upper Sonoran) flora and fauna and history of Ghost Ranch.

Walk in Georgia O’Keeffe’s Footsteps Walking distance 1.5 miles over uneven ground. Be prepared to walk for an hour and a half at an elevation of 6,400′ – you will need sturdy shoes, a hat, water, sunscreen and a long-sleeve shirt or windbreaker.
Cost: $79 per person $49 per student (ages 5 to 17)
