IRMGR – Bringing Ghost Ranch to You

As the days shorten and we approach the seasonal celebrations of Advent, Winter Solstice, Christmas and New Year’s Day, we invite you to continue to be part of the Ghost Ranch community by joining us in one or both of our upcoming virtual events.

BREAKING OPEN THE WORD: An Advent Conversation with Camilla Trujillo and Rev. Kristin Hutson

Video Coming Soon.

Join long time Ghost Ranch Instructor Camilla Trujillo and Summer Chaplain Kristin Hutson as they explore how God’s Word is speaking to us this day. Together they unpack the assigned lectionary passages from the Third Sunday of Advent, including the prophetic words of Isaiah (2 Samuel 7:1-11, 16), Mary’s Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55), and the cries of John the Baptist from the wilderness (Luke 1:26-38.

Additionally, we include the three questions posed within the event below. Perhaps they will serve you as guides and further preparation during this advent season.

1. What are the “manantial” in your life – those sources of provision that you depend on, need and give thanks for?
springwell, spring, fount, fountain-head, source

2. What is the power of being deferential and how does this relate to life together in 2020 and as we move into 2021?

3. How have we been transformed for the better in this last year? What good lessons have we learned?
