Hardcore Hiking and Play: Exploring the Nostalgia of Ghost Ranch – G2007315

Workshop ID: G2007315
Dates: July 19 - July 25
Price: $450.00 - $1,540.00

Come experience the joys of communal adventuring and playing in the vibrant landscape of Abiquiu! Do you miss the nostalgia of getting outside and creating memories at Ghost Ranch? This class is geared towards those who enjoy physically demanding hikes (2-8mi) over rocky, steep terrain involving use of hands and feet, and people who love good ol? field games. Expect to hike all over Abiquiu, including the iconic ~10,000ft mountain Cerro Pedernal! We encourage those who register to be familiar with a desert landscape, as fragile rocks and footings may present challenges to those who have little experience with such. We will also embark on outings to local restaurants and attractions, to get a literal taste and feel for what the rich culture of New Mexico has to offer!

Typical days may include a morning hike or activity, followed by an afternoon off, and evening programming lasting for two hours, which could be filled with a campfire, crafts, and more.

As a course, our hopes and goals for participants are that they may be physically challenged among a supportive group, while expanding their knowledge about New Mexico, Abiquiu, and Ghost Ranch. We desire for people to meet new friends, and get a taste of what it means to create fun, authentic relationships. All in all, engaging in the outdoors in a community of people is what it?s all about! If you have ever felt like you wanted to re-live an invigorating summer experience, then sign up!
