Create your own unique glass panel, combining contemporary and modern glass techniques. Develop a design and construct itusing copper foil assembling processes. Try a fused or painted component. If you are beginner, we will be there every step of the way to make it happen.If you already know stained glass, we encourage you to bring a design, choose glass from our wide selection and we will help in any way possible.This class is an opportunity to create your own unique glass copper foiled panel, combining medieval and contemporary ways of working in glass. Each student will develop an individual design using copper foil assembling processes. We will demonstrate how your stained glass design can be enriched by using fused glass, and printing techniques. Daily hands-on demonstrationsof the entire process including glass cutting, copper foiling, soldering, and framing. No prior experience necessary. Beginners, intermediate, students age 17 and up. Family groups welcomed . Bring images and photos that catch your eye . Basic stained glass materials, glass and tools are furnished . Students may bring their own glass for special projects. Studio is open all day and evenings

Mary White

Mary B. White is a California Bay Area sculptor/art educator, active with the Board of WEAD (Women Eco Artists Dialogue). Her current focus is to link art making and environmental issues. Mary started working in glass



Please note that our workshop price structure packages your tuition, course materials, lodging and meals together in a single rate. Prices are presented for each of the types of lodging available for the workshop you select. Some art workshops will have an additional list of course materials and supplies that can be purchased or you will be asked to bring with you.
  • Note:  Some courses (especially studio courses and plein air painting courses) can carry an additional material list or expense.
All rates are Per Person, Double Occupancy unless otherwise specified. Single Occupancy: Single occupancy rooms may be reserved for an additional $50 per night when space is available. The fee will be charged when space is confirmed. Single occupancy lodging is generally not available during June and July. If you are a single person and do not specify a roommate, a roommate of the same gender will be assigned to share your lodging space or you can request the single occupancy and be charged the supplement of an additional $50 per night (based on availability).
