Suzanne Halvorson has been a weaver since the early 1970’s, and has her BSFA from Valparaiso University. She is well known for her innovative double weave scarves and stoles, as well as for her hand-woven liturgical vestments and paraments. Suzanne is a popular weaving teacher and workshop leader nationally, having taught at Earlham College in Richmond, IN and Penland School of Craft in Penland, NC. She is the owner of Yarns Unlimited, and is co-owner of By Hand Gallery, both in Bloomington, Indiana. She sells her scarves at Weaving Southwest in Taos. Her work is published in “Handwoven,” “Shuttle Spindle and Dyepot” and “Weaving for Worship.” Suzanne began teaching Textiles at Indiana University Fall, 2010.
