Reverend Sherri Hausser launched the Center for Innovation at San Francisco Theological Seminary in 2013. Prior to that, she served for twelve years as an Associate Pastor at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, in Pennsylvania where her responsibilities included Adult Education, Worldwide Ministries, Local Outreach and Interfaith Partnerships.
Sherri is a founding member of the Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia where she served on the Executive Committee and Board for 10 years. She has also served on the board of The Journal of Ecumenical Studies and Dialogue Institute, the Board of Trustees at McCormick Theological Seminary, the PCUSA General Assembly Council on Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations, and represented the PCUSA on the National Council of Churches Interfaith Relations Committee. She has appeared numerous times on NBC’s Today Show alongside Rabbi Irwin Kula to discuss life in a multifaith world. Sherri has a B.A. from the American University’s School of International Service and an M. Div. from McCormick Theological Seminary.
One of Sherri’s most meaningful experiences is the 12 years she spent as part of a multifaith women’s dialogue in Philadelphia. Sherri is passionate about the environment and enjoys hiking and rowing. She is certified in basic wildlife rehabilitation and trained as a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist. Sherri loves to travel, having spent time in over 43 countries, including more than two years spent as an exchange student in Japan. She is currently engaged fulltime in her most demanding and enriching work yet which is, along with her husband Reverend Rob McClellan, raising their young son Liam. The three live together in Northern California.
