OroLynn (Goldie) Benson
OroLynn “Goldie” Benson has been a nurse in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico for 20 years. A hospice nurse for 8 years, she leads workshops on creating living wills and on end of life preparation. She is intrigued by the transitional state, the idea of the threshold, the image of the portal, and began her inquiries into the lessons of dying with the death of her infant son more than 20 years ago. She is grateful that the door to this kind of reflection was opened — though she grieved to a state beyond sorrow for many years after.
