Maria Dolores Maestas

Maria Dolores Maestas has been a tin worker for more than 15 years specializing in tin mirror work, sconces, crosses and fine designs for retablo frames. A resident of Abiquiu, NM, she has lived in northern New Mexico for 34 years. Maria Dolores does both contemporary and traditional pieces. She is skilled in working with recycled materials in the traditional ways: turning tin cans and cookie containers into works of art. Maria Dolores opens her studio once a year during the fall Abiquiu Studio Tour. Her work is on exhibit in galleries in northern New Mexico.
