Kim Haines-Eitzen

Kim Haines-Eitzen is currently Professor of Early Christianity and Early Judaism in the Department of Near Eastern Studies at Cornell University. Her publications include a book on the scribes who copied early Christian texts and a book about women as scribes, authors and readers in early Christianity. She is currently writing a book about sound, desert landscapes and the religious imagination in late antiquity and in the modern world. In addition to teaching a wide array of courses on religion for Cornell students, she has taught in Cornell’s Adult University program on topics as diverse as the interpretations of the book of Genesis and the history of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
