When Katie Snapp first entered the workforce as an electrical engineer, she quickly strived to make herself “one of the boys” and replicated her leadership skills after the men in the business. Years later, loads of professional development and personal growth enlightened her to the realization that women often bury their greatest assets and forego personal power by giving into their self-‐doubt or the pressures of a male-‐based environment. She was ultimately recruited by a global consulting firm and ever since, has devoted her career to helping leaders foster their natural leadership tendencies through listening to intuition and embracing the values that speak to us most personally. As part of her mission, Katie and her business partner Carol Wight co-‐founded Skirt Strategies, which offers online leadership training for women at www.skirtstrategies.com Katie’s latest book, Brave Transitions, was created in response to women who were expressing a sense of being stuck in moving forward and maintaining confidence when faced with change. Her first book, Skirt Strategies: 249 Success Tips for Women in Leadership, is a collection of inspirational thoughts and leading tips for women to influence others using their natural female assets. Katie speaks nationally and consults in leadership development for both men and women. She lives in Albuquerque with her husband, two daughters, and two loving yet senseless dogs. www.SkirtStrategies.com
