Karen Hall was born in Kentucky and educated in Texas at the University of Houston, where she graduated with Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in vocal performance. Additional study in operetta was completed at the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg, Austria. In 2006 Karen received a Doctor of Education degree from Columbia University, Teachers College. A versatile performer, she has performed in opera, operetta, concert, oratorio, recital, chamber music and music theatre throughout the United States. Previously, Karen has been a faculty member at the Crane School of Music/SUNY Potsdam, the Boston Conservatory, the Berklee School of Music in Boston, New York University, East Carolina University, New Mexico School for the Arts and the University of Miami. Karen currently resides in Santa Fe, N.M. where she continues to teach, research and write.
