Inga Poslitur was born in Sochi, Russia. There she went through rigorous fine art academic training and continued her art studies in Moscow. After coming to the United States, she enrolled at The Fashion Institute of Technology, NY, earning a BFA in Illustration. She subsequently completed an MFA in Illustration at the University of Hartford, CT in 2012. Currently, she teaches Foundation in Painting at San Jose State University, CA and gives private workshops in San Francisco.
Inga’s paintings have been exhibited at the Society of Illustrators NYC, Nucleus Gallery, LA, The Fashion Institute of Technology, National Watercolor Society, Afif Gallery, Salmagundi Club, National Arts Club, Grace Institute and National Watercolor Society. Her artwork has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles (Gold Award, 2012), and won illustration competitions in Spectrum 20, American Illustration 32, Creative Quarterly 21, 22 & 29. Inga’s illustrations have being published in The New York Times, Newsday, New York Spirit, McSweeney’s, Phoenix New Times, Ins and Outs, Hadassah Magazine, Stocks and Commodities and LA Times Newspaper to name a few.
