Elizabeth Fishel

Elizabeth Fishel is a writer, instructor and experienced workshop leader who has taught writing at the University of California/ Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and the University of California/ Berkeley and Santa Cruz Extension programs. She has previously offered this popular workshop at the Mesa Refuge Writer’s Retreat in Point Reyes Station, California with Susan Page Tillett. She is the author of five nonfiction books about family lives including Sisters; Reunion; and most recently, Getting To 30: A Parent’s Guide to the 20-Something Years (coauthored with Jeffrey Arnett). She is currently working on a book about creativity and home in the second half of life called Home At Last: Wharton’s Garden, Vita’s Tower, Isabel Allende’s House of the Spirits and Other Domestic Reinventions. She has her B. A. from Harvard in History and Literature and her M. A. in Creative Writing from Stanford. www.elizabethfishel.com
