Daren Pitts Redman
Daren Pitts Redman uses the quilt as her art medium. She represents abstract landscapes with the endless colors of the leaves, grasses, tree trunks, and moss. The Indiana landscape, the Grand Canyon and her travels in the United States and Europe are her constant inspiration. Nature is a reoccurring theme in her work. She hand-dyes her silks and cottons to mimic the colors she sees in her everyday environment.
Redman cuts her hand-dyed fabrics intuitively to create abstract fine art wall hangings.
