Carola Stearns

Carola Stearns, Ph.D, from Santa Fe NM, is a field geologist whose research and experience includes teaching at the University of Michigan, working as a seismic interpreter in the petroleum industry, two seasons as a park ranger at the Grand Canyon and as a geologist on archeological sites. Her research interests include tectonics, focussing on structural styles in fold and thrust belts, and climatic geomorphology, especially as it relates to archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. She currently works as an interpretive guide in Northern New Mexico and is a Research Affiliate at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology at The University of Michigan.
