Holding Courage Women with Cancer Retreat Fund
Holding Courage offers women a respite from stress and anxiety, and gives them the tools they need to maintain self-esteem, stamina and balance. An experienced, well-trained and warm-hearted staff adapts to the needs of each woman and each group. The goal is to help the women reclaim a sense of personal power and choice in order to move toward physical and emotional wellness – and spiritual wholeness. The hope of Holding Courage is that each of the women who attends will return home with meaningful and measurable skills to help face the ongoing challenges of life following a cancer diagnosis.
Holding Courage is supported by volunteers who help with cooking, activities and support services. It is funded by grants, fundraising and individual donations. By clicking the button below, your support will go directly to the Holding Courage Fund. Just select it from the list of special funds.
If you prefer to make a pledge payable in installments, call Mary Martinez at 505.685.1000, ext. 4148 or once you click the orange donate now button, you can choose your donation frequency.
From the section labeled “Apply My Donation To” you can either donate to the annual fund or choose the special project of your choice including the Holding Courage Fund.
The women spend six days and six nights in a positive process that melds inner reflection and creativity with spirituality. The program includes group discussion and sharing, guided meditation, massage, yoga, body and breath work, art and music therapy.
