Ghost Ranch Museum Excursions and Sites

Ghost Ranch has put together an exciting series of excursions to immerse you in the cultural offerings of Northern New Mexico.
 
Beginning in July, join us for archaeological excavations at Ghost Ranch. This is such a popular event, we are offering 2 one week sessions for you to unearth artifacts during the day and attend lectures with renowned archeologists in the evenings. Details below.
 
Moving into the fall, we will offer 2 more one week sessions with the venerable Dr. Martha Yates. The first week will be an adventure into the ancient pueblos along the Rio Chama for petroglyphs and more. The second week is a visit to Chaco canyon using Ghost Ranch as a jumping off point. Not to be missed. Details below.
 
Finally, a Holiday Season Cultural treat in December with Dr. Martha Yates to witness the winter dances and feasts of area Pueblos. A truly immersive experience. Details below.

 Excavate a rock shelter dating to the period of the hunter and gatherer.
Adventure to ancient pueblos along the Rio Chama and to petroglyph sites along the Rio Grande.   

Immerse yourself in the Chaco phenomenon, its mysteries, its ancient astronomical observatories, the Great Kivas of Aztec and Casa Rinconada, and others.  

In the seasonal cycle, when thanks are given for the change of dark into light, this revered time for the Rio Grande Pueblos is celebrated through dance.
