The Stations of the Cross profoundly marks the spirituality of many Christians. Focusing on the last steps of Jesus before the crucifixion, the stations narrate the agony of the human soul under violence. Regardless of your Christian affiliation, in this workshop, we will go through the stations of the cross from the perspective of the Earth.
What does it mean to understand Jesus on the path to the cross from the point of view of the violence against the earth? How does the suffering of Jesus and the violence against humankind must be also understood as the suffering of the earth now under so much violence?
Relating Jesus path to the cross with climate collapse and impeding disasters, we are going to create earthly rituals that will help us understand the cross from the perspective of the earth, learn what are the challenges we must face right now and how our spirituality can be marked not by violence but by care, reciprocity and mutual healing.
