Jan Term Adult Service Corps – G230116

Are you interested in using woodworking skills, helping in the library, sprucing up the grounds, or repairing furniture all while making new friends?

Participants will give 5 hours of service per day to Ghost Ranch, in exchange for a reduced course registration fee, all meals, and dorm-style lodging. (Upgraded lodging may be available for an additional fee.)

Participants will do a variety of indoor tasks to be determined by the ranch. Most tasks will require a moderate amount of physical activity–light maintenance and construction, cleaning, organizing, painting, etc. No other course may be taken while working in Adult Service Corps. There may be a few outside opportunities for an additional fee.

If you have any extra hand or power tools at home and would like to donate them to Service Corps, we will happily accept. Also, please do bring your own work gloves.

The registration fee is $350 per week, which includes all meals and a Service Corps T-shirt. Please fill out our interest form and a member of our team will be in contact to answer any questions and/or help you register. Service can be in one, two or three-week increments: Jan 3-9, Jan 9-15, Jan 15-22. Bridge nights with breakfast are included for multi-week stays. Bridge day lunches are on your own.

During Covid safety period - single occupancy lodging is the standard
  • During Covid-19 periods, all lodging types will be single occupancy at no additional charge. Of course, you can share a room with a spouse, partner, family or another person that shares your full-time residence. The extra folks that share a room will pay for workshop registration fees and meals.
What is the difference between a room with private bath, a room with semi-private or shared bath, and a room with communal/dorm bath?

Private bath refers to the type of bathroom, not single occupancy

Private Bath Room: There is a bathroom in that one room that is not shared between or with any other rooms. The highest rate tier of Ghost Ranch lodging.

Semi-private/shared: There is a bathroom between two rooms that is shared by the occupants of the two adjoining sleeping rooms. These rooms will only be used as family or group suites, not to be shared by unknown neighbors as in the past.

Communal/dorm: There is a communal bathroom/shower in the lodging building and participants will need to exit their room to reach these facilities.
