Beadwork: Circular Technique – G2107212

Learn a step-by-step beadwork technique to bead around circular objects. This style is known as 3-drop peyote stitch. (It’s a variation of the basic peyote stitch, but they are not the same). The three-drop peyote is commonly known as the gourd stitch in certain settings.

Gourd stitch can be beaded around most items with a circle surface area. This workshop will teach you how to construct a beaded project using traditional and non-traditional indigenous, intertribal beading techniques. You will learn the basic construction of a keychain base and provide instruction in how to start beadwork and incorporate simple design elements.  Upon learning this technique, the possibilities are endless in terms of color, shading and what objects you can bead. You will leave this class with your own beaded keychain, to keep or gift to someone.

Included thread, beeswax, assorted bead colors, wooden dowels for the keychain base, commercial leather, craft glue and o-rings for the keychain attachment.I bead ceremonial & powwow items that we use in Native American Church ceremonies & in the dance arena. Most of the items I bead are part of feather fans that I construct, it’s the fan handle part where you hold the the fan upright.

Of course, you can share a room with a spouse, partner, family or another person that shares your full-time residence. The extra folks that share a room will pay for workshop registration fees and meals.
What is the difference between a room with private bath, a room with semi-private or shared bath, and a room with communal/dorm bath?

Private bath refers to the type of bathroom, not single occupancy

Private Bath Room: There is a bathroom in that one room that is not shared between or with any other rooms. The highest rate tier of Ghost Ranch lodging.

Semi-private/shared: There is a bathroom between two rooms that is shared by the occupants of the two adjoining sleeping rooms. These rooms will only be used as family or group suites, not to be shared by unknown neighbors as in the past.

Communal/dorm: There is a communal bathroom/shower in the lodging building and participants will need to exit their room to reach these facilities.
