The desert has forever called humans forth to experience a unique sort of holiness. This course will give particular attention to the way in which desert space impacts our spirit and how the capturing of visual, photographic images of such sacred space can give us a lasting touchstone for accessing sacredness in our ordinary days.

Mornings will be spent exploring sacred places both on and off the Ranch where we will take digital photographs of the powerful landscape around us as well as the intimate places we encounter along the way. During afternoons you will have the opportunity to make an album of your images that, along with journaling, will tell the story of Ghost Ranch sacred sites. This will provide opportunity into the future to keep these sacred places close to your heart and mind. Evenings, around the courtyard's fire circle, we will connect spirit images with pilgrimage story sharing, both debriefing the day's experience and preparing for the next day's exploration.
