The Ghost Ranch Piedra Lumbre Education and Visitor Center Events PDF Print E-mail

The Center is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit: "The Española Valley Fiber Arts Center Show." The show will run from May 3 through July 6. 

The Center is located 1½ miles north of the Ghost Ranch Education and Retreat Center on U. S. Highway 84, and is open from 9-5 daily, closed Sunday and Monday. Contact J. J. McGowan at 505.685.4312 for more information.

 

The Española Valley Fiber Arts Guild is part of the Fiber Arts Trail. It has its own storefront and program located in Española, where visitors may drop in, watch weavers, and even try a weaving of their own. The fiber arts work includes traditional and contemporary weaving, tapestry, Rio Grande weavings, rag rugs, hats, garments, jewelry, and more. Many items are for sale.

 

O’Keeffe
Enjoy the continuing exhibit which uses the landscape itself, augmented by reproductions of O’Keeffe’s work and text compiled by Jackie M., Curator of Education at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, to illustrate O’Keeffe’s relationship to northern New Mexico and Ghost Ranch.

The Cente
A partnership between Ghost Ranch and  the U.S. Forest Service, the Center is located on U.S. Highway 84 between mile markers 225 and 226, just north of the main Ghost Ranch entrance. Hours from Memorial Day to Labor Day -- open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday and closed on Monday. Hours from Labor Day to Memorial Day -- open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m Tuesday-Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. Picnic tables are available, as well as a gift shop, and permanent and traveling exhibits from the New Mexico Natural History Museum.
