Teepee Village - 2007/10/29 21:47
I attended Ghost Ranch with my parents in '57 and '58 and the second year was the year they constructed the Teepee Village and we were the first children to use it. Several of us were selected to take part in a photo shoot for advertising for the company that had donated the teepees. We were given union cards which we had to pay $1 for so that we could be hired as models..We had to be very careful to check our sleeping bags every nite before we got in them and our shoes in the morning.. Most of us forgot the latter and the last day we were there my tent mate did and found a scorpion in his.. I would like to hear from any other children that attended those years and would especially like to know if anyone has a copy of any of the teepee photos...My dad,Rev.J.Edgar Pearson, was there for a young pastors conference the first year and I'm not sure what it was the second year, mebbee something to do with Christian ed..There was also an Oklahoma family camp there and Jim Hall was the director of that..
