The Fourth Annual Family Week - Save the Dates July 2-8, 2012
One Family
Rivers walkin', people talkin', children play throughout the day.
All around us mountains sound us,
We – together – One Family.
Scholarships are available.
Family Week provides endless opportunities for families of all shapes and sizes to enjoy time together in study, creative arts, play and adventure. Following intergenerational worship at The Agape Center, morning courses
are offered for adults and young people (most courses appropriate for children age 5 unless otherwise noted in the specific course description). Choose from one of the courses listed below. Younger children ages three (3) and above and youth not taking courses participate in fun and educational Youth Activites program which are listed by week in the online catalog. The family center is available for children under 3 and their caregivers-read more about it below.
Afternoons will offer short versions of the morning classes, as well as some other activities, for all to sample. All guests are welcome to attend afternoon activities, but need to sign up for them upon arrival.
Evenings include campfires, games, hikes, a musical concert, cookout, a parade and July 4th fireworks celebration (weather permitting).

Families come in many different shapes and sizes and all are celebrated under the clear blue skies of Ghost Ranch. Ghost Ranch is a family – a family of friends, a family of artists, a family of faith. What better place to spend time with those you love and explore new things together! Family Week will have music, arts, crafts, good discussions, play time, camp fires, movies (with popcorn), swimming, hiking, laughing, playing and praying together.
This week is hosted by Sharon and Glenn Edwards. They met at Austin Presbyterian Seminary and have served 2 churches as Presbyterian Co-Pastors, most recently in Oregon. Their two teens, Hannah and Bennett will be joining them for this fun week. Sharon served on college staff in 1983.
For children under 3
The Family Center at Ghost Ranch was made possible by generous friends who recognized the need for a safe, comfortable place for infants and young children under the age of three to play and rest. The Center is furnished and supplied with he needs of young children and their family members in mind with carpeted areas for floor play, cribs, a changing area, a child sized bathroom and a kitchen with sink, refrigerator and microwave. While child care is not provided, in summer months a staff member is present to suggest and assist with activities for the children and the family member responsible for each child. Spontaneous co-ops of parent and grandparents are often organized. For children 4 years to 9th Grade While adults spend mornings and evenings immersed in a course of their choice, youth spend mornings and evenings experiencing all kinds of new things under the guidance of our trained staff. Some adult courses have afternoon or all-day schedules - please take note of this when registering and make arrangements for child care during these non-youth program times.
