Stories and sayings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers, Jewish desert wisdom, and Sufi teachings will guide us to explore ourselves, our relationship with the Divine, and with each other in the holy confines of the high desert. We will reflect on the desert experience as a path to authentic holiness through a mixture of unguided time for reflection, journal writing, art, contemplative prayer, and guided discussion. The group will also follow the desert rhythms of sunrise and sunset for morning and evening prayer.
