Our Mission
Ghost Ranch, an education and retreat center of The Presbyterian Church (USA), grounds its life and program in reverence, hospitality for all people, and respect for creation.
At the heart of our mission is the desire to create an environment for deep self-exploration, where time is sacred, a sanctuary from the white noise so we allow ourselves the gift of tapping into the loving energy of the Creator and integrating that into our daily lives.
Our Priorities
We celebrate our divinely-inspired qualities of:
• Curiosity - to learn about the world, its people, its creatures, its landscape
• Creativity - to dance, sing, paint, mold, act, write, play
• Tender Loving Care - for one another, to practice peace, social justice, hospitality, to embrace diversity and the human family
• Spiritual Yearning - to seek a relationship with the Holy, to grow in awareness of the essence of our being
• Reverence & Appreciation - to be an integral part of Creation, to be careful stewards of the Earth and the resources entrusted to us, to relish the splendor of the outdoors
Our Vision
Ghost Ranch is called to be ……
An education and retreat center called to serve God by
empowering all who come to grow spiritually, learn
intergenerationally and experience new transforming ways to
serve God in the Church and world.
A community warmed by sun and sacred history, a resolana
where friendships are made and important stories told;
a sanctuary of cultural, ethnic, religious and societal diversity;
an open place for body, mind, and spirit.
A community motivated by faith to share joyfully the gift of
hospitality, kindness and healing; to bring together people on
various quests and from different perspectives, offering
programming excellence in a safe setting.
A community rooted in the Reformed heritage covenanted to
reconciliation, training leadership for the future of the Church,
seeking peace and justice.
A community appreciative and respectful of its New Mexico
neighbors, offering with love what it has to give and accepting
with grace what it needs to receive.
A community for the Spirit for rest, re-creation, and renewal
offering beauty, encounter and growth, helping people to be
responsive to God in new ways.
A keeper and mender of creation and communities;
An advocate for the care of the earth and its resources;
A place to wonder, to challenge, to create, to explore;
A sacred space for seekers and shepherds;
A touchstone for light and leaven in an uncertain world.
